I A A I r i 5 it li i J E 4 dl 3 .1 I Dedication Iohn W. Hall will be long remembered for his outstanding contributions to the cause of Christ and the restoration movement in central Missouri. He gave of his time and means in an unselfish manner as Central Christian College of the Bible was brought into being. He secured the faculty, made many promotional trips, drove to Moberly two days each week from Vandalia, Missouri, for almost two years. He taught one class and served as president pro tempore until the college began its third year. He has come to Moberly at least once each week during the past year to teach a course to the men students on the practical aspects of the ministry. He hasnever received any monetary compensation for his work or expenses. - A T The college would never have become a reality except for the preliminary work of Brother Hall. When he came to Missouri over a decade ago, liberalism and unbelief had caused the vitality of the churches to diminish greatly. From his ministries at Union and Vandalia, this son of Ohio urged many preachers to come to Missouri to labor: and several answered the call. The Christian serv- ice camps began to prosper. Brother Hall became dean of the White Oak camp near Moberly, and the enrollment soon' surpassed 400. The area was now ripe for a Bible college, and Central Christian College of the Bible is the result. To you, Iohn W. Hall, this 1961 annual of Central Christian College of the Bible is therefore affectionately dedicated.

We thank God for your coming to us for your Christian education as servants of Christ. It has been a privilege to have had fellowship with you in the work, life, and spirit of our Alma Mater. You have grown in grace and in the knowl- edge of our Lord Iesus Christ during your stay with us. It is always difficult to give up our students and see them leave. Your Christian personali- ties, zealous spirit, and leadership in the College family have meant much to us. Still, we want you to go forth into the harvest fields of service. Christ has called, and you must answer. It is our confidence that you are prepared for the work, that you will be found workmen that needeth not to be ashamed. Your Alma Mater will be expecting true, sound, and scriptual work from you that the name of our Lord jesus Christ shall be magnified. You are entering into a world largely hostile to the gospel, deadly sick with sin, poisoned by perverted gospels, and deceived by false philosophies. But you go forth in the strength of the Lord of lords, the Conqueror of death and hades. You have the power of God, the gospel of Iesus Christ. There are hungering, questing souls. There are thousands who would be trans- formed if only you are faithful to your Lord and His revelation. Go, then, with our fervent prayers, our eager expectations that you, by Divine grace, shall be more conquerors through Christ, that you will gain the victory and receive the crown. I 1 S l I
