Representing us at the big dances were: Mary Leah Joliat and Jack Streb at the Football Frolic; Sue Weber and Mike Murphy at the Military Ball; and Laura Lombardi and Mike Kelleher at the Vocal Department Dance. ... Was Our Dennis Carver Richard Casari William Castora Dorothy Chaten Linda Chervenak Joseph Chevraux Blue Hawaii was the theme for our class dance. Officers this year were: Boys—2A, Frank Wittman; 2B Charles Moriarty; 2C, Bob Kessler; 2D, Mike Kane; 2E, Vince Gianetta; Girls — President, Donna Towell; Vice - President, Mary Ellen Callahan; Secretary, Sally Donecker; and Treasurer, Chris Rohn. Reserve cheerleaders were: Toni Lattavo, Laura Lombardi, Joan Rusinsky, Susie Haag, and Bonnie Burse. Barb Blackstone and Sue Baum were majorettes. The Leadership Awards were merited by Marye-Anne Payne, Martha Hoopingar-ner. Bob Hardy, and Bob Belden.

Belinda Bonnot John Bozzacco Sharon Briner Henry Brinks Margaret Brown Margaret Bruni David Brunyansky Norman Buckler William Buell Phyllis Burger Cheering the freshman teams on to victory were Joan Rusinsky, Peggy Davis, Joan Belden, Laura Lombardi, and Bonnie Burse. Chosen to lead the boys for our first year were: 1A, Dave Featheringham; IB, Jack McKelley; 1C, Fred lannuci; ID, Rick Stock; and 1 E, Tim Wetzel. Meanwhile, President Joan Belden, Vice-President Ann Conley, Secretary Ellen Thomas, and Treasurer Joan Conley were presiding over the girls. The coveted Leadership Award was presented at the end of the year to Marye-Anne Payne, Jack Raftery, Jack Streb, and Ann Marlow for their excellent scholastic achievements. The freshman football team had a record of five wins and five losses. And thus we completed our first year at Central with a genuine feeling of pride.
