Joseph Bartolone Battista Barbara Barnhart Harold Barkey David Barillari Gregory Baum Freshman year — we had reached a great milestone in our lives. We were no longer children in elementary school, but young men and women entering four wonderful and exciting years of high school. The first few days were a mass of confusion. The girls had to acquaint themselves with climbing four flights of stairs every day, while the boys were grateful to be in one place all day long. But after things settled down we began conducting the usual class business. Representing us at the Football Frolic, The Crusader Salute, were hAary Ellen Callahan and Don Ragon; at the Military Ball, Connie Naegli and Bob Hardy; and at the Vocal Department Dance, Sally Donecker and Jack Morgenstern. For our first dance, Deep Sea Fantasy, we transformed the gym into a large aquarium with a mermaid on the back wall and a large octopus dwarfing the front entrance. We were all very satisfied with our first major endeavor at Central.
