Mark Hatheway Dennis Hazel At last it had arrived. Senior year! Oh, the wonder of it all! We prided ourselves on our calm maturity and condescendingly eyed panic-stricken freshmen and those childish oddities — sophomores and juniors! After the first few weeks, we settled down into the routine of being a special” class Under the direction of Sister M. Colombiere, (lower right) and Brother Arnold, F.S.C., (upper), class mod- erators, we got used to our very own Vocation Holy Hours and every- thing became a last.” We spoke of our last” football rally, our last” retreat, our last” game. There were also a lot of firsts” during our senior year. Father John Cassidy (upper) came to Central as our first full-time spiritual director. It was the first year, too, for Sister Mary Aquinas (lower left) as Assistant Principal of the Girls' Division and debate moderator. With Dick Tondra (lower left) and Mary Spangler, Gavel Society officers, Sister and co-moderator Brother Lawrence coached the debaters and speakers to excellent city sweepstake championships and a notable col- lection of trophies.
