Carol Brown David Brown Dianne Brown As our first year progressed, we met the faculty, visited the library, bought” dozens of library passes, and looked with awe upon the legendary iron curtain.” After school, we were introduced to co-curricular activities. They were presented to us by eager recruiters in a highly glamorized fashion, and we joined them all, from the band right down to the newly-organized science club. We probably would have continued in this disorganized state forever, if it hadn’t been for our class moderators, Brother Vincent and Miss Paumier. Under their guidance, we elected officers Judy Roska, Judy Lamiell, Carol Birch, Kathy Doll, Doug Childress, Rick Chapis, Bill Sheaffer, and Ed Ojdana, and constructed a huge snowman for our first dance, The Jack Frost Frolic. ’ 1957 also saw the arrival of Coach John McVay at Central . . . ouz freshman football team completed a successful season under captain, Rick Chapis . . . attendants to the football king and queen were Pat Miglich and Ron Hoover.
