Ureasury of Gram I will go unto llae alrar of God, unto God Who giver joy to my youfhf' Today's youth advances to the altar to the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass knowing that participation in this clean oblation which never ceases to be offered to Almighty God in some place from the rising of the sun until the going down thereof is the most pleasing act of worship he can offer to the Divine Majesty. He prays with adoration, thanksgiving, reparation, and petition bringing down upon himself and others the abundant grace of an eternally generous Father. He kneels in awe as the Mass re- enacts the miracle of the Last Supper and Divinity Itself obeys the command of the priest. He receives in humility and glad- ness of heart the very God Who made him. He leaves the Mass refreshed in body and soul to face the duties of another day, another week, striving to meet them in such a way that he may merit eternal beatitude. o i 21, gm, , 3 A 'I' 52 1- Mx, 7fx-f ,Z 'SM 'E , ,A f . High point of the season was center John Krusoe's forty points against Pine Crest's Panthers, setting a new Broward County record. However this record was short lived, as it was shattered a little more than a week later. Newcomers Krusoe and Paul Authier added the drive and determination needed to produce a win- ning season. Sharing the spotlight as leading scorer on many occasions was jim Flynn. The Raider quin' tet's fine play-making guard, Brad Snyder, also doubled as a defensive ace. Forward Ed Hanlon sparkled on both offense and defense. Raider enthusiasts can be justly proud of their team because of its tremendous spirit and true sense of sportsmanship. A galaxy of events induced in everyone the needed spirit that helped win the game with the Saint Patricles Sham- rocks. Fach class was in charge of some phase of the festivitiesfthe Freshmen entertained at halftime, the Sophomores gathered material for the bonfire, the juniors organized the pre-game parade, and the Sen- iors decorated the cafeteria for the Homecoming Dance. Yi, +51 5, With football fever at its highest pitch, the Sopho- more class came through in C. C. H. tradition with a bonfire that warmed the air as well as our spirits. The school president, coaches, and co-captains in the light of the burning embers moved both team and spectators to fight for victory. With spirits high on the day of the game, the stu- dents participated in a colorful parade through town. A horse and buggy crealced along leading the pag- cant, followed first by a shaky Model T, and then by the latest automobile models. . 3,1 i -Jim 2, . ,,,,,,.....--an Halftime ceremonies were cli- maxed by the crowning of the Homecoming Queen, Barbara Fit- tin, by Monsignor O'Looney.
