Ruined... Unless the Lord build the city. . . March fifteenth was the day set apart from all the busy months of study at Central Catholic this year. That-day was entirely devoted to reflection upon the all-important side of all of the things, all of the seasons of our year have brought for us. It is true that every day in one way or other the end of true education is held up before us, but it is of utmost value to every student to consider at periodic inter- vals that house built upon the sand. By means of many illustrations and interesting stories, Father J. Wilson, C.S.C., this year's retreat master, brought us back to an appreciation of the true relative worth of our bodies, minds, and souls. Such an appreciation, we realize, is the aim of true education-the kind that has been.given to us through all of the changing seasons of our years at Central Catholic: and we value the yearly retreat as a mo- ment in which to, get back to rock foundations. O what a glory doth this world put on For him who, with a fervent heart, goes forth Under the bright and glorious sky, and looks On duties well performed, and days well spent! -Longfellow
