FOREWORD Never will there be a better time to put into practice that which we have newly learned of right and wrong, than in the suffering world of today. Here is a challenge, youth! Having been entrusted with the task of saving democracy, we must prove that we are worthy to assume this trust. A lifetime of experience may present itself in a single hourg there must be no retreat. Will we then in time of peril rise to conquerg or give way to fear and lose all? Shall we carry our cross with a song in our hearts and the battle-cry of freedom on our lips? Ours will be the bitter cup of sorrow, the path of unceasing sacrifice. Much is expected of us. We must not fail, but assume the burden squarely. Our strong unchanging faith is the pledge of victory. With utmost con- fidence in the Christian principles that we have learned at Central Catholic we march forward as soldiers of Christ. Y
