DEARDEN, S.T.D., Bishop of the Diocese of Pittsburgh, has been unceasing in his interest in Central Catholic and his generosity toward all the school has aspired to. What the students of Central Catholic remem- ber Bishop Dearden for most, however, is his tireless solici- tude for our spiritual welfare. IT IS WITH particular complacency that we recognize FATHER JOHN B. McDOWELL, Ph.D., for within the past school year Father McDowell has been elevated to the Superintendency of Pittsburgh Catholic Schools.
