A tradition as old as Central Catholic itself. is the Mass of the Holy Ghost at St. Pauls Cathedral. opening each school year, and offered for the success of our school worlc in the following months.

N CLE F E RNIN The name of Central Catholic is not just erin' fined to 4720 Fifth Avenue, The School has heen associated with many well known civic centers of the City. During the early part of the year, the student hody was present in St, Pauls Ca' thedral for their annual retreat, As the year advanced, the name nf the school was heard in such places as Fnrhes Field, and Pitt Stadium. The annual midfwinter dance and the Senior Prom were held at the Schenley Hotel. xx' The main center of activity and excitement, is Cc-ntral's auditorium. Here is where all the students gather periodic- ally for their well planned pep rallies and assemblies to cheer the Vikings on. The writhing. squirming, wrigglfng mass of humanity. which filled this Central corridor a few minutes ago. has departed. and it now rests and regains strength to support the avalanche when it returns on the morrow.

Pittsburgh will not lag behind in the race for more pro- gressive cities, but will rather carry the baton of prosper- ity on to its goal of being the most heautiful and efficient metropolis of the nation.
