Silke-came 'through in Tournament Championship game to help us win it .... Halloran-good set shot .... Chenard-could fake anyone out of the court .... YVilson- joined late, developed quickly .... Pelletier dropping one in to win the sudden death game with St. Mary's Alumni .... the teams twice our size We played . . . .the Hve games we lost by one and two points. . . .Lewis's scoring spree in the overtime that won the championship .... the time Nader stole the ball in the first St. Mary's Alumni game with 5 seconds to go and put in the winning basket .... how Lewis held LaPtoque to two points in the championship game .... how we never wanted to leave the Boy's Club .... our wish-to do as good a job next year as Jayvees. Uwmltg. Ended-aff Back in early spring, there was an announce- ment over the loudspeakers .... All candidates for the Baseball team report for. practice this af- ternoon after class. At that time prospects looked very promising for a successful season. Actually in the pre-season books we were conced- ed the Catholic League title. In a way this was an unwarranted prediction, since we had only Myles Moran and Joe Hackney, and the veteran hurlers, Beland, York and Gallant returning from last year's varsity. Wle filled in the vacant spots in the infield with Ray Leslie, a reliable little hall player at short stop, and George Lane at the 'keystone sack.
