Mary's Academy ll923l, and finally reached Hs modern successor, Ceniral Calholic High School lI932l. ln l855, fhe lmmaculale Concepfion Mission and surrounding properiy was given fo lhe Brofhers by Bishop Odin. The Bro+hers lcepr +he Mission un+il I9I I when Bishop Shaw requesfed 1'he lands for fhe presen+ Seminary and Orphanage. ln I866, Bro. Charles Francis succeeded Bro. Andrew Edel, as head of S+. Mary's College. Though Bro. Edel is lcnow as +he school's Founder, Bro. Francis is known as +he builder. ln l866, fhe Easf wing oi +he presenl Law School was builf and was overcrowded in shorr order. In I87O. rhe Wes+ wing was added +o include lhe original building.
