LARRY ' S SPEECH AT BACCALAUREATE The Baccalaureate Mass and Dinner, sponsored by the CC Mothers ' Club, was held May 31, in honor of the 1972 grad- uating seniors. The evening started with the 4:30 Mass at the Cathedral. The last 199 students to graduate from Central Catholic walked fronn CC to the Cathedral in their purple and gold gowns. The Mass was concele- broted by Father Tellers, Father Reginald, Father Hammond, Father Tirobassi, Mon- signor Durken, Monsignor Conroy, and Father Seculoff. Mr. Woods provided the music on the organ. The Baccalaureate Dinner was held at the Lantern immediately following the Mass. Students and their parents enjoyed a smorgasbord-style dinner. After the din- ner, Mrs. Glenn Miller, president of the Mothers ' Club, congratulated the graduat- ing class and introduced the speakers. Larry Budenz, class president, brought back many memories with his speech. Following Larry ' s speech was Father Tellers with his Charlie Brown story. The Most Reverend Bishop Leo A. Pursley, after making an un- expected appearance, also congratulated the senior class. Auxiliary Bishop Joseph R. Crowley concluded the evening with the Baccalaureate address. Father Tellers offers the Baccalaureate Mass for the graduating seniors. Above- Below- -Bill Manijack, Kevin Marqucrdt and Tom Nolan eat with Dr. and Mrs. Nolan. -The senior men stand for the gospel at the Baccalaureate Mass. 2B
