AMBER REVIEW 8KIT8 AND TALENT8 DISPLAYED The audience was in for a different treat this fall. Instead of the usual fall play, Amber Review was a mixture of Laugh-in and Ted Mac ' s Amateur Hour. Mr. Buch- heit directed the play and students and faculty displayed various talents. The talent consisted of singers, dancers, and musicians. A pom pom routine was put on by the varsity cheerleaders. The skits were either musical or comedy. Be- tween talent presentations there were short comedy black outs. At different times throughout the play a small band paraded through the audience flinging confetti. Behind the stage the light crew, headed by Don Palmer, was working hard. The props were obtained by Jeannie Sitko and Sarah Gebbard. Sue Geary headed make-up. The play was held in the CC auditorium on November 19, 20, and 21. TTTirsPtn- UU LJ. POOH RAIN8 OVER HOMECOMING The 1971 Homecoming festivities started Monday, Oc- tober 4th, with the beginning of Spirit Week. Climaxing the week, the girls were allowed to wear blue jeans, a first for C.C. Thursday night activities were kicked off by the annual Powder Puff football game between the Seniors and Juniors women. Though the Jiving Juniors tried hard, they were no match for Dan ' s Dangerous Dames. The score was 27-6. The night continued with cheers, gifts for the team, the senior skit, introduction of the team, and the awarding of the Spirit Stick to the juniors. The bonfires were lit by the football team, and the court was announced. Friday ' s rainy activities started with a parade from the Villa to Zollner ' s Stadium. Half time began with the display of the floats and ended with the crowning of the queen, Mary Isbell. Following the scoreless tie with Luers, the Homecoming Dance was held in C.C. ' s gym. Music was by the East Bonk. Top Left — CC ' s three bonfires blaze. Above Left — And the winner is . . . Mary Isbell! Left — Sr. and Jr. men cheer Irish on.
