Administrators Elaine Sutter is the possessor of the sunny smile that greets everyone who enters the first-floor office. Her efficiency and cheery disposition have made her well beloved by both faculty and stud- ents of Central Catholic. Sister Maureen Therese came to us this year from Ladywood School, Indiana- polis. However, she was no newcomer to Central Catholic, for she was a members of our faculty from 1940 to 1949. Sister feels the scholastic atmos- phere here is high, and that there is a love of scholarship among the students. Thank you, Sister, and welcome back to C.C.! 1

Softool Father Hammond and Msgr. Lester are shown looking over report cards. The IBM marked cards, new this year at C.C., are a great help to the teachers, and a sign of the future. As business manager, Mr. Charles Pendergast serves as manager of our brand new bookstore, and is in charge of tuition payments. For these and many other unknown services, we congratulate Mr. Pender- gast for a job well done. Although this was only Fr. Hammond ' s second year as principal of Central Catholic, his leadership and admin- istrative ability have en- abled him to carry out his many and varied tasks with great efficien- cy. Because of his many years as teacher in a senior homeroom, he is able to understand the needs of our school, and the students and teacher: in it. We take this op- portunity to acknow- ledge the outstanding accomplishments of Fr. Hammond, and thank him for his help and guidance. His Excellency, Leo A.
