ofgaclerrikiyo af mr The Sfudenf Council in ifs presenf form is a com- parafively new organizafion, alfhough fhere has been some form of acfive sfudenf body in fhe school almosf from fhe beginning. The purpose of fhe Sfudenf Council is fo sfimulafe and lead fhe inferesf of fhe sfudenfs in fhe irnprovemenf and general welfare of fhe school. The Proiecfors Club was sfarfed in 1951 by Sisfer Jane de Chanfal. lfs main purpose is fo 'rrain sfudenf operafors fo assisf fhe faculfy in showing educafional films. lfs officers are Seniors, buf membership is open fo any unclergraduafe. The Red Cross dafes from fhe early days of C.C.'s young life-1942. One yearly proiecf is filling giff boxes for foreign counfries and providing soff foys and musical enferfainmenf for local hospifals. They also make favors for fhe Veferans' Hospifal af Chrisfmas fime. The Civics Club had ifs beginning under fhe guid- ance of Fafher Lawrence Gollner on February 11, 1942. Sisfer Jane de Chanfal is fhe presenf moderafor. The club meefs on fhe firsf Friday of each monfh fo discuss currenf issues in order fo promofe Cafholic leadership and fosfer greafer loyalfy fo our counfry, and fo plan educafional fours and debafes. One of fhe main acfivifies of 'rhe club is fhe raising of Old Glory above fhe school when fhe weafher permifs. Row One: Proiecfors Club officers Mike Laughlin, Tom Huhn, Milxe Tancey and Joe Eifrid.
