Featured appearances of the orchestra were ac-conipariying the Clee Club in the annual Christmas program. presenting the Spring Festival. and playing for various school actiyities. The goal of every member of the orchestra is the nionograrned sweater awarded to seniors under the new point system. Any member can tell you that it would be much easier not to practice. If they had been selfish, we well might know what would result. It takes cooperation to make a band-they must play together, they must know how to follow their director. So we here salute the most unselfish, the most cooperative group at Central Catholic-our band. '4Ever faithfulw might well be the band's motto and 'aloyaltyl' its watchword. At pep sessions, ball games, and assemblies its stirring music never failed to put us in the proper mood. Many take the band too much for granted. They just don't seem to realize how much sacrifice each member contributes to the making up of a good band. For the first time, the band and its alumni sponsored a Football Dance. which proved to be a huge success. They provided ballots and the school elected a 'cfootball kingw who reigned at the dance. The band raffle again proved a great success this year. The money netted was used for the general betterment of the band. orchestra. and glee club. BAND OFFICERS Rita Ann Fox .....,, .,,,,....
