Designs flow from creative students Silk screen process and other art methods are part of the course taught by Sr. Paula. Drafting students acquired many new skills from Mr. Bolbach. Through the skills taught by the Art and Drafting instructors, the creative ideas of the stu- dents were channeled through the media of pencil, pen and brush. From the little-known rooms in the basement came accurate drawings of the school's layout, masterpieces that exhibited in the annual spring art show, and scenery for the Operetta. Creative works of the Art students were also displayed in area art shows, with students like Marge Wach- owiak and Barb Sagan winning honorable mention in the Scho- lastic Art Awards and Roger Zielinski winning recognition from Art Interests Inc. , 2 , ,gb f - Scenery for the Most Happy Fella was constructed by these willing art students Karen Gryczewski, Cheryl Perz, Barb Sagan, and Pat Dzienny. l l l ll .l 1 l l I Freshman understand the principles of water color painting through Sr. i . , 11. . .. ,-. we A I in e ,AA I , . ii. by 1 4' 22!ART

Not to mention how many times the picture was reprinted to get an exact size, more contrast, or to re- place a missing one. Then there's the layout design. Not many people realize how much Affflff W wi fo. 4 time is put into drawing up a page. The rules on style and design are enough to make you throw up your arms in despair. In additon, a sixteen- page autograph supplement was designed to give everyone a as - ,fx iff chance to write those nice- to-remember, hard-to-forget sayings. Along with the good times of birthday parties and hard times of weekend work sessions, the staff managed to publish a quality book. CENTRIPETALXZI
