After the first two victories, the team defeated St. Francis, thus bringing homethelrish Knight. Defeat suddenly struck, though, in Cincin- nati in 95 degree weather. Two weeks later Scott humiliated us, costing Central's Fighting Irish the city title. With great pride and con- sistent team work, the Fighting Irish had a strong comeback against Rogers. The season came to a close, however, with a loss to Whitmer.
