Bishop John A. Donovan, presiding at his first commencement in Toledo, proudly presents the coveted Bishop's Cross to Tim Galvin. Each year this award is given to a boy and girl who have best shown their excellence in religion throughout their four years in high school. um nh in honor of Mary. Bidding their final farewell to high school life, the '68 graduates enter the Sports Arena on June 7 awaiting their diplomas. Their education will enable them to prove their usefulness and ability in all they endeavor. Acting as pacemakers, the administration and faculty initiate the beat for the continuing process of learning. By his dedication, each teacher contributes to the beat. In the many hours devoted to teaching and counseling, he reveals a deep concern for the needs of the indivi- dual. To meet intellectual needs this year, the faculty implemented the curriculum with independent study programs designed to deepen and broaden the individual student's knowledge. To intensify spiritual insights,the annual retreat program was changed to include group discussions and greater participation in Holy Mass through liturgical folk music. 0 S Page 23
