Tom McCall, Dramatic Club secretary, addresses Elaine Baum- gartner, vice-president, and Binnie Harrison, president. Art of Speaking Public Speaking, a semester elec- tive, is maintained at Central to give seniors training in the art of speak- ing. Correct posture, clear diction, emphasis and stress, and variety of speech, are but a few of the funda- mentals learned by the students. Towards the end of the semester, the orators give a demonstration speech. in which all of the techniques learned are employed. In conjunction with the Public Speaking classes is the Dramatic Club. The Masquers, as it is officially entitled, has as its purpose the social development of each individual.
