Principles of Catholicism With the evils of Communism and materialism spreading throughout civilization, it is neces- sary for youth to have a strong foundation in the principles of Catholicism. For this reason the religion course aims to help the students think, speak and act according to the plan outlined by their Creator. Our Quest for Happiness, central theme of the religion course, is divided among the four years. The Creative Love of God the Father is taught to the freshmen, while the sophomore students study the Redeeming Love of Christ the Incarnate Son. The juniors penetrate into the intricacies of the Sanctifying Love of the Holy Ghost, and the work of the Church, while the seniors delve into the Omnipotent Love of the Triune God, and consider the vocations they may select. Mass and Holy Communion are oEered every morning in the chapel, and on the First Fri- day of every month the students spend their religion period in the chapel instead of their classrooms. Page 19
