Pffhy .tlzould good runrrls ne'1'r be raid Of ri friend 'til he is llf'IlIl.U All the students of Central have- indeed found a friend worth loving in Father Kirsch, whose promotion to the presidency of DeSales College will increase his opportunities of extending the Kingdom of Christ. His qualities of leadership, his calm words of wisdom, and most of all his firm character have left an indelible impression in the hearts of all who knew Father Kirsch. E As a leader he guided us through the four most impressionable years of our lives, thus giving us the foundation on which to build an ideal of true Christian manhood and womanhood. VVe could feel the depth of his wisdom when he told us to fear God most of all, but next to God fear him who does not fear God. It was not spiritual assistance alone, however, but the sagacity of a modern educator which prepared us to face the world with the background of a thorough education. ' As the sun shining through a prism, diffusing myriads of colors did the spirit of Christ illu- minate his Cllilfillltffr, bringing to light the virtues of a true Catholic gentleman. Because of his prudence, his quiet understanding manner, his pleasing personality, and his unlimited patience, we admired, respected and endeavored to imitate Father Kirsch. . We cannot fully express in words our affection for him, therefore, we, the class of l94l, dedicate to Father Kirsch the twenty-first volume of the Centripetal, hoping that it will be as a tiny mirror, reflecting for him a part of the' life of Central, as he knew it during the past seventeen years.
