nxc,qpruxg4er5xtJSfim,49'r :NE ' Ns. Jimi 6 3 The Seniors We are in truth the depression class. Since first we crossed the doorways of the school we have grown to love and revere, we have known nothing but the calamities of depression. But depression has not interfered with our enjoyment of the happiest days of our youth. We have attained success in our studies, on the gridiron, the court, and the diamond, and we have even braved the terrors of the stage to present the overwhelm- ingly successful Remote Control. When the present seniors entered Central as freshmen, we numbered over five hundred. Some have discontinued school all together, others have found it impossible to pay the increased tuition and have gone elsewhere, two hundred and twenty- three of us have remained faithful. We base the proof of our achievements on the fact that we were able to obtain a Centripeml in spite of bank failures, and nation-wide distress. This is not a boast, but a plain statement of facts as they stand. We deeply regret leaving Central. It has been more than a school to us. In all our endeavors in later years we shall be proud to own her as our Alma Mater, and prouder still if she will then own us as worthy sons and daughters.
