With an eye toward satisfying the growing demand for scientists, the Science Department now boasts a cathode ray oscilloscope, audi- oscillator, recording timer, and stratoscope. Science magazines and periodicals also aid this department to keep up with various im- portant scientific findings. The lunior Chemists' Club, under the spon- sorship ot the Reading Chemists' Club met monthly to tour local industries. A. Boland and B, Pomeroy accompanied by Sister lohn Catherine attended the Middle Atlantic Sci- ence Symposium held at Temple University, Philadelphia. A group ot seniors traveled to Villanova University to View the new science building. Climaxing the year lUO Centralites dis- played their projects in the school science fair held in late lanuary. Examining various projects on the Keystone State, I. Cimo- chowski, D. Damore, L. Gudz, H. Iones, and C. Grimm learn many interesting facts about Pennsylvania. Meet the experts! R. Mulligan, l. Hofmann, and P, Napiecek give the class a socialized .recitation on the glories of ancient Egypt. From primitive man and his surroundings to the atomic age and its problems-this vast scope of time is covered by Central's history program. Projects on ancient Egypt attracted annex freshmen. American and modern European history enthusiasts enjoyed several instructive films.
