The first baseball club, although not sensational, has rounded into a very eflicient diamond machine. In the opener Ioe Reedy and Bill Steingraber pitched the Cardinal nine to a ro-4 victory over Robesonia. The following contest with Oley proved a defeat for the Cards by a 9-6 decision. The Reading Catholic Eagles were then turned back 7-2. A strong Lebanon High foe handed the Cards their second defeat 5-2. The Wernersville Redskins were tomahawked 4-1. Mr. Frank Gaglione and Mr. George Powers, co-coaches of the squad, spent much time in teaching their proteges the fundamentals of the game. Ioe Reedy, Raymond Arentz, and Bill Steingraber handled the flinging duties capably while Bud Binder handled theirhooks and slants. Ioe Fromuth, George Brizek, George Breedy, and Tom Powers rounded out the inner works and Lefty Leitham, Bill Curtin, Steve Luksie, and Bob Didyoung patrolled the pastures. n-.mm......... .W Fuel Row: F.
