Nine Students Vie For SGA Gffices In late September nine students filed a petition for one of the SGA Offices of Vice President, Secretary, and Treasurer. For over a week, candidates exhibited intense but friendly competition for the offices. Campaigning included candidates making speeches to the student body during a Meet the Candidates Forum, filling the walls with cam- paign posters, and talking with evening students over coffee and soft drinks. During voting hours, candidates could be found just out- side the Student Center soliciting votes. When votes were counted, only a winner for Treasurer emerged. Four more days of cam- paigning and a run off election were necessary to determine winners for Vice President and Secretary. Sherry Martindale and Patricia George find evening students eager to learn about SGA!
