Medicine. The ultimate goal ofthe curriculum is to produce the technician to till the many job slots which formerly were filled with people who received their training in the human field or those who were able to take on-tliejob training. Some of the objectives of the curriculum are to develop knowledge in thc areas of record keeping and reception, restraint of animals for examination. proficiency in certain laboratory tests and to under- stand the importance ofgood public relations. The Drafting and Design curriculum is set up to give the student at CCTI not only a good knowledge ofthe basic skills that he will use in thc specific field of drafting, but also a broad general education. The technician in this field will be exposed to many different types of people and must be able to communicate with them all. Electronic students must also have some courses from the Drafting curriculum to complete their course of study. This enables them not only to physically build electronical units, but to read and make schematic drawings. v f rf .Q 'tri 'ug Av' --1 1... ......-- EWS: fg' bona 0 I 20, nano 9-7- The Practical Nursing curriculum is designed to fill the needs of hospitals and nursing homes throughout the nation. The course has been studied and evaluated by major medical agencies. 4 Automotive Mechanics students are given a basic knowledge that will enable them to enter their field and diagnose, inspect, repair and adjust automotive disorders. Business opportunities are growing and with them the need for better than high school students with specialties. The Business Administration curriculum at CCTI is producing these students. Governmental and industrial agencies are becoming more concerned with agricultural research and development. This is the goal for CCTI as far as their students in this course of study are concerned. l ' f I N T s , . v l ' as , .. s 5 l K - Ti 5 Y Q E E A W 7 CENTRAL CAROLINA SANFORD al CENCARO 1968-1969 Volume III 8 TECHNICAL INSTITUTE NORTH CAROLINA TABLE CONTENTS . . ADMI ISTRATIO Here at CCTI the administrators have been and continue to be as much a part of student activity as a part of the administration. Too often the administration is thought of by the students as a vast network of hard-to-reach, busy, and aloof figures. Our administrators have a keen desire to respect the individual aptitudes, ambitions and personalities of the students and their actions have demonstrated their concern for students' welfare and happiness. gr... ka- us.- Elbert C.
