Dance in the Gym with Mrs Caplan. The Health and Physical Education Department strives to impress the Central Bucks students with the value of physical fitness. By means of fitness tests and games of skill and endur- ance, students learn the importance of team effort, good sports- manship, and physical achievement. The curriculum of the health classes includes instruction in proper methods of first aid, personal hygiene care, and various mental and physical diseases. The driver education courses stress the importance of de- fensive driving to students, and traffic safety is emphasized both in classrooms and on the roads. The Health, Driver, and Physical Education Departments have the two-fold purpose of developing the minds of the students and developing their good health and safety habits. w Fay E. Business Education ls that a watch or a two-way Wrist radio, Mr. Hintenlang'? Several types of courses are offered by the Busi- ness Education Department. These include typing, shorthand, bookkeeping, and business mathematics. Business courses benefit both students pursuing a business career and those planning higher educa- tion. The distributive education program has high- lighted the business department this year by pro- viding students with practical work experience as well as basic academic and vocational knowledge. Another service that the Business Education Depart- ment offers is the job placement service sponsored by Mr. McAloose, coordinator of the department, which helps students find part and lull-time em- ployment.
