The Central Bucks High School Science De- partment is successfully meeting the rising chal- lenge of the Space Age by opening a new, modern chemistry laboratory and by the ad- dition ol two new science teachers. Up-to-date science courses which challenge and train the science students of Central Bucks High School are: the Biological Science Cur- riculum Study, Advanced Biology. General Chemistry, Nursing Chemistry, Honors Chem- istry, Electronics I and II, Senior Science, Physics, and Agriculture. Mr. Seidle, the co- ordinator of the Science Department, encour- ages all serious science students to seek train- ing in an area of science at the level of challenge which they desire, so they may prepare themselves in their chosen field of endeavor for the challenge of today and tomorrow. The general objectives for the Foreign Language De- partment are in keeping with the current emphasis on the communication skills. The study of foreign language is more than an acquisition of subject knowledge. This study offers the students an opportunity to acquire an additional tool for communication, to understand other peoples, and their cultures, to develop self expression and creative ability, and to widen personal interests and appreciations. The foreign language program emphasizes the four skills of understanding, speaking, reading, and writing.
