Looking back at the doors these keys have opened, We realize how invaluable they have been to us in enjoying and appreciating our high school years. They have led us through many class activities-our studies . . . cheering our teams on to victory . . . our clubs and service organizations . . . and our dances and parties. These keys have been given to us by the faculty and administration and we, in the role of leaders in our school community, have tried to set an example for the under classes to follow. We feel that the theme-Keys to a Richer, Fuller Life-is a most appropriate one to symbolize our life at Central Bucks. EDWARD SMITH REGIONAL SUPERINTENDENT Keys to Knowledge To the Seniors of 1956 . . . Human beings everywhere seek keys to many things-keys to success, riches, fame, the good life. One of the most sought after is the key to harmony with the moral and spiritual laws of the universe. 'Clues to the possession of this precious key can be found in the simple prayer found on a tablet in an old cathedral in England. Give me a healthy mind, good Lord, To keep the good and pure in sight, Which seeing sin is not appalled, But finds a way to set it right. Give me a. mind that is not bored That does not whimper, whine, or sigh. Don't let me worry over much About the fussy thing called I. Give me a sense of humor, Lord, Give me the grace to see a joke, To get some happiness from life, And pass it on to other folk. Godspeed to each of you in finding the key to the good life through faith in God, self discipline and service to mankind. .M MR. ARTHUR T. REESE Westminster College, A.B. Temple University, Ed.M. With the coming of football season, the class sponsored sock dances that continued through basketball season. In October the Senior boys ran a scrap drive, expanding our treasury. November 18 and 19 the dramatically inclined members of our class appeared in the Senior play called The Torchbearersf' Sleighbell Serenade, the Seniors' gala Christmas dance, held December 28, will be long remembered by all who attended. Despite many activities, we were all working toward our future years in college and various occupations. Everyone took Kuder Preference Tests. The non' college bound Seniors took the U. S. Employment Battery of Tests, and the college bound took the Juniata Test. Twelve top Seniors took the Merit Scholarship Examination. Each Tuesday in january groups of Senior P, O. The boys have entered a window exhibit in the Kutztown, Allentown, and Reading Fairs. In january they attended the Farm Show in Harrisburg and in june four members will attend F.F.A. week at Penn State. BASKETBALL This year basketball at Central Bucks has a new meaning for us. Although the team has no long impressive list of victories. those made were crucial ones. No one will ever forget how the team defeated some of the top teams in the league when it seemed impossible. The fans liked to come out to the games to see the brand of playing and the sportsmanship exhibited. The team was always Hghting until the Hnal gun went off. Injuries hurt the team during the year, giving them a slow start. Dave Redfield and Tom MacAniff were given honorable men' tion on the AllfBuxfMont League basket' ball team. The prospects for future teams are very good as several underclassmen saw activity with the varsity. To be exact, November 9th was the Hrst basketball meeting for the Girls' Varsity Basket' ball Team at C. B. There was a terrific turnout this year, which Mis Illsley, with the assistance of Miss Helen Babin, narrowed down to 28 girls. Although the season was not a total loss, the Girl Buck' aneers practiced working together as a team, feeling the spirit of winning and losing the games they played. Maryanne Marczely and Stephanie Leonard were co- captains of the team and excellent guards. High scorers for the varsity team were Pat Satterthwaite and Jo Davis. 1 .. . 225 . f l , .,,. ...,. ,i . He, with the capable help of his fellow class ollicers, tried hard to make the year a great success. This year the Juniors started a tradition which they hope will be continued by succeeding classes. On the last school day before Christmas Vacation, they gave a Christmas Assembly for the Senior High School. Of course, the highlight of the junior year is the Prom, which is held in june. To raise money for this, the class sold pencils and CB pins, which can be seen on any student. Another activity was the Career Visitation Day. On that day many Juniors received help in choosing a career. THE CLASS OF 7 Juniors ELAINE WINTYEN Secretary BARBARA BASH Treasurer llhlll' ROOM 29-Last Row, left to right: J. Farinelli, R. Beach, J. After Christmas, the Eighth Graders invited their parents to school on Come Back to School Day.
