The association has broaden its avenues of service through its subsidiary corporation, the Central Founda- tion for Christian Training, which provides scholarships and loans to deserving CBC students and which gives financial assist- ance to the overall program of the school itself. Actively participating in a fund drive for financing the proposed E. S. Williams Chapel, the Alumni Association Executive Committee consists of President Ralph Harris, Vice-Presidents Robert Cunning- ham, David Drake, Dick Champion, and Jerry Sandidgeg Treasurer Eleanor Parry, and Secretary Virginia Hogan. Religious Education Spare the rod and spoil the child. The trend of parents today, the abolition of the switch, has brought an increasing demand for dedicated, educated people. Workers are needed who are capable of capturing attention through mere gesture, inflection of the voice, and the use of audio visual material. The Religious Education Department, headed by Dr. Donald Johns, has endeavoredto help meet this demand by instructing education majors in the principles of ministry to children, youth, and other church-school related programs. However, since knowledge without the ability to apply and relate it is worthless to a prospective educator, a student teaching program has been established. Constructive critical advice is given to the student teacher after being observed in an actual class- room situation. Persons majoring in education have unlimit- ed opportunites to spread the gospel. They can even penetrate those countries which are otherwise considered closed, Go ye therefore and teach all nations...
