That's just a minor point on an almost inexhaustive list of duties which are under the direction of the very capable and scholarly Dr. Donald Johns. His duties as Central Bible College's academic dean encompass student counseling, faculty guidance, faculty procurement, Deaf School, and even the administration of CBC-Detroit Campus. President Crouch Challenging Central Bible College students to lives of total dedication and commitment has been a primary objective of President Philip A. Crouch. Dedication to the better- ment of mankind is achieved through involve- mentg commitment to God, through leader- ship. The Rev. Crouch has served as chief administrator of CBC since. July 1963. During the 1967 fall semester, he was reelected to the Assemblies of God Board of Education for a three-year term. He came to the campusin 1957 as a member ofthe faculty teaching in the Missions and Theology departments. 1 i He was formerly the associate director of the world-famous Lillian Trasher Orphanage in Assiout, Egypt, holding this position from 1948 to 1955. 1 After serving as a missionary in Egypt for 20 years, Rev. Crouch's missionary ministry was ended due to political strife. President Crouch is qualified to challenge students to a deeper life in Christ because he himself is a dedicated leader of men and a committed servant of God.

Registrar When the inspiration to attend Central Bible College is conceived in the mind of aprospec- tive student, his first contact with the school is with Mr. David Drake, the registrar. The decision to accept or reject a candidate for the school rests upon him, and requirements for graduation are also decided in his office. Some of the other functions ofhis office include the planning of academic schedules, room assignments, veteran's advising, and exam schedules. Registrar Drake is an active participant in other campus functions. He's an instructor in English and American literature. During the school year, he led song services and was a guest speaker in chapel. The spiritual as well as scholastic guidance which David Drake affords the student body has been very beneficial to all those who have taken advantage of the opportunity to consult him. it Business Manager Help, -l'm broke! is an oft-repeated phrase to CBC Business Manager Stephen Walegir. His standard policy is to never disapprove a student's plea for financial assistance. He seeks to assist through long or short term loans, grants, or scholarships. The burden of planning the school budget, the employment of all service personnel, and the direction of the maintenance department are also part of his responsibilities. Plans to meet the demands for new complexes, such as the married student's dormitory, are originated in his office and then discussed with -the development committee. Mr. Walegir's past experience, sharp wit, and easy going humor brighten up an otherwise dull Job and make him a delightful person and a diligent worker.
