Ralph Riggs, General Superintendent of the As- A.A.B.C. President Witmer addresses the student body semblies of Cod, addresses the student body. with a powerful message on truth. HAPL Probably the most important part of training at CBI was the privilege to sit in the daily chapel services and experience the movings of Cod. Here, as students waited in His presence, many received the calls of pioneer churches and mis- sion fields. Here challenging sermons stimulated minds to greater avenues of Christian labor. Here missionaries and pastors came from all over the world to inspire lives and to report the Works of the Father among peoples of all nations. Here young Christian Workers learned to revere and appreciate the graciousness of the Lord. IOO President Peterson receives a special birthday card from the faculty, staff, and students. PRAYER CLASS PRAYERS Each class has special problems whichmust be ironed out. At various times on various days the classes meet for prayer. Choruses are sung and a brief de- votional is given. Class unity, plus bearing one anotheris burdens, is stressed. Communion is some- times observed during these periods of prayer. HALL PRAYERS At exactly I0 oiclock on Tuesday evenings the stu- dents meet in their respective dorms for hall prayers. Each dorm is divided into hall sections. From each hall a leader is selected. Personal needs and home problems are prayed over here. These prayers are one of the main factors in forming a close bond of Christian fellowship among the dorm students. CONTINENTAL PRAYERS A I have seen the heathen in their darkness, I have heard their cry of grim despairf' are the opening words of the song composed by the great missionary, Oren Munger. The continental prayer groups have 4 seen the needs of the heathen in far away lands and meet regularly to pray for them. These prayer groups are conducted on Wednesday evening at 6:15. DISTRICT PRAYERS There are many needs in the student's home church for which he feels he must pray. These needs are presented to the entire group for united prayer. Each section of the country plus a British and Overseas group has a special room in which to meet for inter- cession on behalf of these requests. Many churches have been helped because of these united efforts. STUDENT MINISTRY PRAYERS Of all the prayers at CBI, Student Ministry Prayers are among the most important. Each outstation member feels the heavy burden of the souls in his place of ministry.
