EVERY SATURDAY EVENING at 8 o'clock the joyous tones of jesus Saves resound across the Square when approximately fifty students begin street meeting. Interested and curious listen- ers gather to hear the gospel story presented in testimony and song. Hearts are touched and souls are convicted in response to the stirring, anointed message delivered by the speaker. As the orchestra plays softly and the singers pray, the speaker invites lis- teners to accept Christ as their Savior. Here and there one raises a hand, indicating a desire for prayer. At the conclusion of the service personal workers hurry to deal still more effectively with the needs thus signified by the people. Normally, on the return trip to school, the students may be heard gratefully praising God for His blessing upon their presentation of the gospel. Each week ap- proximately twenty groups of earnest story hour workers minister to the children of Springfield and the surrounding areas. There is great pleasure in this type of service for the childen eagerly anticipate each story hour. They sing action choruses energetically and enthusiastically participate in Bible quizzes. The workers use flannelgraph visual aid quite extensively, because it is estimated Story Hour Workers. v Mary supervises the coloring of pictures of Jesus. that ninety per cent of a child's learning is through the eye-gate. This year scores of children heard the wonderful story of Jesus, and, in response to a simple invitation, many accepted Him into their hearts in sincere faith.
