CURTIS MAGAZINE CAMPAIGN The annual Curtis Magazine fiarrzpaign was officially opened by their representative Robert Sprague on October 19. Our quota was 32004. , but through the combined efforts of all the students, 52058.93 of subscriptions were sold. For the seventh consecutive ,ear each student sold at least one subscription. As a reward for the studenr's fine efforts a movie will be shown to them Wednesday before the Thanksgiving recess. The five high salesmen were Betty Cheney, stoo. 505 Caroline Banks, 585.5 Dwight Smith, 593. 505 Paula Smith, 332.5 Robert Currie, 330. These students received fine prizes and Certificates of Achievement. Other students to receive Certificates of Achievement were5 Barbara Smith, 546.505 Teresa McPherson, S434 Barry Smith, 340.505 Mary Lou Frost, 338.5 Grace Whitaker 336.505 Dean Orser 336.505 Vaughn Bridges, 535.505 Lowell Weeks, 545.505 Patsy Jones, 533.5 Nathan Grass, 532.5 Joan McPherson, 331.5 Adrian Fletcher, S3o.50. Nine daily prizes were given throughout the campaign and forty additional prizes were given at the conclusion of the campaign. Among these were: Elgin Wrist Watches, Philco Radio, School Jacket, Cameras, Parker Pens, Basketballs, Jewel Cases, etc. The Senior Class, the first class to reach IIS quota of SIZ. per student was awarded 350. and they also won ice creanz for achieving this goal. Roland llale Collins won a drawing of 320. To win this amount a student had to reach their selling quota of 812.
