COUNCIL IHPROVES SCHOOL i This year the Student Council offered some nnovations to the school plus maki certain improvements. The Council drew up sngew cons- titution this year with the aid of other consti- tutions highly recoumuended by the national organization. Some of the improvements and in- novations were: a juke box was purchased for the little gym, lockers were assigned and repaired, and new lockers were purchased. The juke box enables the students to dance at noon, and it also serves as s money-maker for the Council, JR. RED CROSS HELPS OVERSEAS Sponsored by Hrs. Hamilton, the Jr. Red :ross has continued its projects through the lchool year 1958-59. Last fall they successful- ly sold advertising for a schedule of the bas- cetball games. They uaed the money for various worthwhile projects. Among them was the send- Lng of 50 gift boxes overseas. ART CLUB TAKES PART IN CONTEST N The Art Club was organized in 1957 by Hr. NNY Smith. Alan Patrict received an honorable mintion which was very good considering the great number and the size af the schools competing. In February the mem- :ers of the Art Club visited L. S. Ayers and the lohn Huron Institute. After the last P. T. A. meeting the Art :lub held an exhibit and a sale.
