CLASS HISTORY By MARY ANN MCNAHY A DATE WITH '52 KBETTER KNOWN AS THE SENIOR CLASS HISTORY, Production Manager Director Stage Hands Time Place Plot ACT 1 Mr Lee Outland Mrs Rose Hamilton The Faculty Four Fun Filled Years 1948-52 The Hallowed Halls of C H S A osycologlcal drama oortraying the mental and emotional g onth of 55 bewildered Freshmen through the stages of green beanies to yellow cords We, the graduating class of 1952, entered our Freshman year with high enthusiasm There were 35 of us on the class roll David Best Bob Blue Dorothy Bo les Jerry Brookbank John Bryan Tommy Pckenroke Barbara Evans Buster Evans Harry Fulton Duane Gunn Joe Hatfield Russel Hildebrand Claude Hunt Eddie Jones Pauline Kellams Vern Kniop Mona Lee Lemmons Bill McDaniel Mary Ann McNary JoAnn Meeks Thurleen Hiller Clyde Morris Carl Orsborne Joan Parrish Iris Hesh Donna Rldenour Joe Rosser Nancy Ryan Jim Shawhan Bill Smith Dick Stevens Carrol Study LeRoy Taylor Julia Winters Joan Wrigley Determined to make our mark in the annals of CHS history we set about electing our officers Those chosen were President Joan Wrigley, Vice President Bill Smith Sect JonaBLemEons, Treasurer Joan Parrish Our sponsers were Miss Kimmel, Miss McConaha, Q wr roo s During the year we enjoyed such social events as a hayrlde party at Claude Hunt's and a Christmas party at which we exchanged gifts Our first high school dance was the 'Freshman Fantasy? a Valentine Dance At this dance we inaugurated the idea of crowning a king and queen ACT 11 When we became Sophomores we began to feel a little less obscure Uoon enrolling we found that we had lost 4 members Joan Wrigley, Donna Ridenour, Pauline Kellams, 8 Jerry Brookbank Buster Evans also left us early in the year Iris Miller, Betty Mabry, and Paul White came along to take their places Our sponsers were Miss Kimmel and Mr Brooks Our officers were President Mary Ann McNary, Vice President Dick Stevens Sect Julia Winters, Treasurer Joan Parrish Reporter Iris Resh Our first party was again a hayrlde We crowned a king Q queen at our Valent1ne's dance for a second time This and our 'Sophomore Shlndigu were both colossal successes ACT 111 When we became Juniors we realized that a great task lay before us that of mak ing enough money to finance the needs of a Senior class Thus our Junior year really began in the little concession stand at the ball diamonds early in the summer of 1950 Starting back for our tnird year in high school we regretted that some of the fam lliar faces were missing Harry Fulton, Paul White, Mona Lemmons and Russel Hllder brand quit school John Bryan lAfter hearing Mr Brooks say 'Go west young man'b got his directions mixed, and wanting to go to the Devllfsl anyway, transferred to a school in our eastern suburbs Egils Purlns came to us from Latvia and with his outstanding ping pong playing made a distinction for our class PLEASE TURN TO PAGE 5 2 THE BEST IB YET TO couE1'111u I2 1 Y ' A' ooooonosccoooooo o QIOIIIICOOUO Ollik U ooooocoo annul coooooooc sooo "- """'- UU" DIOO ' c o 0 coco coco A 7' g T! c C .
