A wonderful iioor general and captain who made all-county and sectional guard. FRANK BAXTER Frankie mastered the art of screening for the forwards and taking unorthodox shots. He ranked as all-sectional and county center. ROBERT TOSCHLOG f0ne of the boys who contributed! to the high moral of the ball club with his attitude. Bob specialized in long shooting. VIRGIL RICHARDSON 'Considered as one of the fastest guards in Eastern llndiana basketball circles, Wimpy was the fu-aclklbone of our defense against fast brealkinlgf' offenses. He earned all-county and sectional honors. HOWARD MARTIN Skeeter is noted for his aggressivene-ss and spot shot from the right side of the floor. He made all-county forward position. FRANCIS NICHOLSOIN. Able to play at either forward or guard position very well, Fritz hit his peak at Sectional time and contributed greatly' to the success of the ball club. KENNETH FRAME 'Opposing guards feared Kenny because of his extreme deceptiveness and his ability to hit any place on the left side of the floor. He was honored by' being named on the all-county and sectional selections. EDDIE BELLEW A speed merchant who capably displayed his wares whenever they were needed. CENTERVILLE BULLDOGS The 'Centerville Bulldogs of 19138-'39 turned in a better performance this season than any 'Centerville squad has in recent years. Besides winningi the County Conferi- ence championshlip, they won the Wayne County Tourney, ,and last but not least, they played one of the best games of the season against the Morton Red Devils in the finals of the Sectional Tourney. During the season, in their schedule games, the Bulldogs lost only three games'- two to Hagerstown by very close scores, and one to Liberty, also a close game, The three main reasons for the splendid record of this year's team are: first, the attiturde of the boysg second, their ability to playg and third, our coach, one of the best coaches to be found-Mac Ruby.
