At the 'beginning of the year a Red Cross Chapel was given in which Harold Ma.on Carrol McConaha and Riley McGraw gave reports of the 1931 National Red Cross Convention held in 'Washington D. C. The Senior and Sophomore classes who first enrolled 100 ' in the Red Cro.s were the winners of a Victory Party given bv the council. Dorothy Wines and Gene Snydei were the Centerville representative? to the State Junior hed Cross Convention held in Ind'anapolis. Eighteen Christmas baskets of food and toys were distributed to the worthy people of the community. The council members sold advert'sing for basketball schedules and served refreshments at part of t-he home games. 'Ilhis gave them business training and supplied the necessary finan'es for the servic fund. Several delegates attended the Wayne County Junior Rel Cross Convention lteld at Boston. The council :ent gifts to their friends of Nlyfmburk High School in Lzechoslovakia and also sent the 19 '9 Pre.ident Trancis Nicholson to the National Red Cross Convention in San Francisco California.
