Driver Education is a valuable technical course that is designed not only to teach correct driving techniques but also the mechanics of an automobile and the safety rules. Mr. Longcrick points out basic parts of a motor to Dan Poff, Frank Hoef- ling, Dave Andrews and Bill Hine- man. Vocational Courses Prepare State Patrolman instructs Dan Poff and Sue Umbenhauer in parking techniques. Auto Mechanics, a new course this year, is the preliminary training for students who are interested in future mechanical work. Mr. Seal, the instructor, has acquired for the class, government motors for the students to experiment with and re- build. Auto Mechanics students get practical training by working on cars in the shop.

Students for Future Lufe Home Economics trains students for present and future life. Miss Owen teaches a well-rounded course which includes units in Foods and Nutri- tion, Family Relations, Clothing and Related Arts, Interior Decora- tion, Home Nursing, Child Devel- opment and Home Management. Nancy Bunn, Sue Heckman, Barbara Maxion and Judy Cowin eat meal they prepared. Many a handy man has learned his basic skills in Industrial Arts classes. Mr. Seal, the instructor, has worked hard with the i boys teaching them mechanical drawing, , woodworking, metal working and welding. Mrs. V. Wood, Red Cross Nurse, instructs Kaaren Mossman and Maxine Horn in Baby Care.
