CLASS HISTORY Twenty-two boys and girls started at Centerville in 1936. Of the twenty-two, six of them will graduate this year. They are: Richard Elliott, Doris Reeder, Verna Tullis, Robert Fox, Pat Belyo and Charles Rabold. In the Third Grade Dale Garber joined our class. Our hearts went out to Dick Elliott that year, for he miss- ed most of the year when he had pneumonia. The most fun we had in our Third, Fourth and Fifth Grades came from the many happy hours spent roller skating on the cistern top. Ronald Beckett joined us in the Fifth Grade. This year we took a liking to baseball and basketball. We gave a program for our mothers. Of course we will remember the Sixth Grade. That was the year everyone suffered writer's fatigue from copying so manv notes. but all will agree that the notes did a lot of good when it came to taking tests. ln the Seventh Grade our class increased by leaps and bounds. Charline Hackley entered at the beginning of the year, Barbara Stanley at the end of the Hirst semester, and Louella Sinclair a few weeks later. We had a terrible time getting used to the idea of changing classes, but we finally became acclimated. During the Eighth Grade we spent each noon in the music room dancing to the phonograph. We entered our Freshman year feeling very bigg the upper-class-men soon took us down. This year we began having class parties. Such fun. The junior year was our most outstanding. First of all Pat Scott entered the class, but we lost Harry Frizzell who had started out with us in the First Grade. For our Junior Class play, we selected Nobody But Nancy. Everyone had fun working to make it a success. This year the Seniors took us to Columbus with them on their Senior Day. The best event came at the end of the year---the Prom. We chose Mtionlight and Roses as our theme and held the Prom at Highview Terrace in Bellbrook. The end of our high school days is now in sight. The high-lite of the Senior year has been our Senior Class Play Drums of Death. We'll always remember it, not only for the success of the play but also for the fun we had during rehearsals and the afterfrehearsal parties. We lost Caryl Mandenhall, who had started with us in the First Grade. Caryl chose being a housewife for her career. Louella Sinclair also changed her name. She has continued schoolg only she is known as Louella Lohnes. Soon we will bid farewell to Centerville High School and begin to look toward new achievements, 10W ., sl .Wx N '-1, HQ KQV' Baby Pictures . 2. .
