December 29, 1948 We miss him due to his untimely, unexpected, and tragic death for he was one of us and now he has gone from us in body, but not in spirit. James Elmer Sheldon represented those values in life for which those of us left should aspire to achieve. It is for these qualities of mind and spirit that James Elmer Sheldon will remain in living memory among us in our journey onward through life. 15
