Iwo JIma Monument Our Salute To A True Friend Mr. Oscar W. Manglitz has been a resident of Centerville for 21 years, .for 15 of these years he has been a loyal and constant supporter of school activities. When the whistle blows he is the one person most often seen in the cheering section at Centerville High School athletic activities. Mr. Manglitz seldom fails to walk across our grounds at least once a day, he always has a nice smile and a word of encouragement for those students he may meet at this time. Some of the comments most often made by Mr. Manglitz are, Say Coach, when is the next ballgame ? Coach here are _ dollars to buy treats for the players after the game. or What time did you say the Variety Show starts ? I'll be there. We, the Graduating class of 1963 say to you, You have been, and are, a true friend! Senior Prophecy We now find Donald Barnes in St. Louis riding around in his car while his wife, Betty, is down on the farm with four little Barnes' making a living. Larry Barnes and wife, Joyce, are now living in St. Louis where she is working in a factory, while Larry babysits with Barbara Greco. Richard Robertson finally “squeezed out of school by getting in good with the coach. He and Norma Barnes are now living with James Barnes in Corncob Hollow. We find Bob Johnston down at Jessie Dement's Cafe, still trying to get her to let him take Brenda out. Please Jessie. Tommy Voyles is now the mayor of Centerville. He is trying to get the speed limit changed to 90. John, you'd better get air brakes. James Mathes and his wife, Barbara, are now living in Bunker. In case Daddy needs help they have one son as a doctor, one a lawyer, one a policeman, and one an ambulance driver. Norma Pogue is now married to Richard's friend Clifford. They are living in Robertsville where Norma is working in the Purinea Plant in order to keep Cliff and 4 little juniors alive. Donna Tate and her husband, Roger, are now living in Bunker, where they own and operate a sweet pickle plant. Donna says I love pickles. Darrell Dement hasn't gotten married yet, but he has a few prospects. He plans on taking the one he gets to Lesterville on their honeymoon in his Chevy. Will Richard Burnham pay for his gas ? Brenda Pogue and Charley Campbell are now married and living in Redford. They can't afford a car so they walk to town with their 8 Campbells following. Dave Hill is still chasing Linda Me Nail, but Tommy gets her once in a while. Poor Dave. Tommy Fox is now married to Carol Hanes and owns Fox's store. They have ten little Foxes running around under the counters. Ruth Vance is now married to Richard Burnham and living in Bunker, helping Richard run a dairy farm. I thought Ruth wouldn't milk cows, but she does 'cause it takes all the milk for the kids. Willie Martin is still an old maid, although the boys are being chased steadily by her. Poor kid, her legs just aren't long enough to catch Moose. Dave Dement and Gail are now living with Peck. Dave is still trying to Charley H. away.
