The foofball season began wifh fhree vicfories and fhe seniors fook fheir lasf ITED fesfs. Ocfober saw Suzanne Sfuber and her affendanfs, Kafhy Klum, Linda Cafhcarf, Linda Swab, and Sharon Snodgrass crowned in fhe Homecoming fesfivifies, The monfh confinued wifh class elecfions where fhe class chose as fheir officers for fhe year: Lyle Linder, presidenft Harry Bufler, vice presidenfq Linda Swab, secrefaryq and Kafhy Klum, freasurer. November ended a good foofball season for fhirfeen seniors. The Y-Teen Thanks- giving chapel was a special one for fhe seniors since if was fheir lasf. During Thanks- giving vacafion several seniors parficipafed in fhe All-Sfafe Music Fesfival. December confinued wifh an excifing baskefball season. The Sfudenf Council Chrisf- rnas chapel was very impressive and fhe seniors again fook an acfive parf. January broughf fhe end of fhe firsf semesfer and fhaf mad dash of lasf minufe fesfs. The seniors headed fhe honor roll af fre end of fhis period. February ended a fremendous baskefball season wifh fhe feam making hisfory af CI-IS as fhe firsf undefeafed feam in a season's play. Gary Allen was chosen Prep of fhe Week by Brad Wilson of fhe Des Moines Regisfer. March found many seniors picking ouf fheir choice of colleges or vocafions. They found firne creeping up on fhem. April began wifh Career Day. Various sfafe confesfs were also held during fhis monfh. All had a successful year in confesf compefifion. The golfers dug ouf fheir clubs and fhe frack boys found fheir winged shoes. And fhe I-lonor Sociefy held ifs annual banquef for fhe senior members. And finally May began wifh ifs usual excifemenf. This was fhe home sfrefch for fhe class of I959. There was fhe banguefs, fhe Prom, fhe Senior frip, Baccalaureafe, and finally, fhaf long awaifed commencemenf ceremony. And so ended fhe busy year for fhe Class of l959.
