sw, tm rm am, A freshman class is like the baby New Year, full of big ideas for the future, but not quite dry behind the ears. And yet - like the New Year - a high school class does grow up' over a period of time. When the class of '57 began the senior year, Gary Williams, Otis Seals, Dorothy Walker, and Phil Anders were chosen as officers. The sponsors were Mr. Richard Bunt- ing, Mrs. Alison Escher, Mrs. Lillian I-Iowry, Mr. Joe Nelson, and Miss Hulda Stom- berg. Money for senior activities was raised by a banking plan where each senior had his own savings account. Then along towards the end of the year, the class began to age, As seniors, the members of the class of '57 felt as old as Father Time. They were ready to look back on their school years - remembering. As one senior said, As you think of Commencement Day, when you march down to receive the long-sought diploma, you feel a thrill of pride. . . and still something tugs at your heart, a lump comes in your throat, and a tear in your eye, for with the passing of that day, the class of '57 becomes a part of the past and the joys of high school are over. Left to right: Phil Anders, Dorothy Walker, Mr. Bunting, Mr. Nelson, Mrs. Howry, Otis Seals, Mrs. Escher, Gary Williams, and Miss Stomberg.
