1954 Seniors BLACK DIAMOND I Hagan I Lemley S Iohnson B The11e Somor llfhoors The semor class of 1954 started the year by holdlng class elect1ons m October The competltlon for 0ff1CC Was hot and heavy w1th three partles m the runnlng The En thuslasts Party was v1ctor1ous ln havmg three of thelr candldates elected for offlce A candldate from the Go Getters party was successful 1n bemg elected to the fourth offnce At Chrnstmas tlme the semors sponsored the project of collect1ng food and clothes for needy people Under the leadershrp of the semors the entxre student body respond ed to the request for food and cloth1ng Th1s project by the semor class especlally Was consxdered worthwhlle s1nce the food and clothmg were deeplv appreclated by the famnlles who recelved lt pl ns began Many semors began takmg college entrance exams Others took aptx tude tests all ln preparatlon for thelr llfe work In the sprxng the semors were treated to '1 prom by the jumor class The prom was followed by the usual partles Whlch lasted untll dawn Along about the same tlme of the year act1v1t1es for the semors came thrck 'md fast Varlous clubs honored the semor members at partles and banquets page nmeleen Horace Fuller Ruth Whltmore B111 Jerome not p1C1U.1'ed Amy Wr1ghi Sponsors Graduatlon for the semors was both a sad and happy event The guest speaker presented a talk that Was the f1n1sh1ng touch to a great school year Graduat1on brought to an end the accumulatlon of fond memor1es over the hlgh school years These memor1es wrll remam ln the hearts of the semors of 1954 for many years to come Mary Carpenter Loretta Chne Norma She-sion Sally Iohnson at bunk parfy What a mght' 1 1 .
