Beautiful weather favored a big- ger and better-than-ever parade. The parade was lead off by the Lions' president, Paul Roseber- ry, and the High School Marching Band. Each High School class had constructed elaborate floats. The sophomores' float with the big owl saying Who-o-o's Go- ing to Win won first prize. The parade was made a wonderful display by the co-operation of the many merchants and organi- zations with the Lions' Club. Among the merchants floats were those of the Iowa State Bank, Craig's Appliance, Gambles, Rhinehart's Skelly, Hendryx Motor, Suchomel, Haddy's Haven, and the Daisy Maid. The organi- zations parading were Boy Scouts, Cub Scouts, Girl Scouts, Brownies, Booster Club, Mystery float-Wayne Wyeth, American Legion, Fire Department, Todd- ville Legion's Locomotive, Jay- cee's, Lions' Club, and Bower's horses. This is the first year for the Spanish Club. They have done many things during the year. To begin with , the members learned how to make tacos and enchiladas. Third Row: Mr. Whitehead, Greg Wiggins, Mark Haynes, Larry Nielson, R d 'L ' ' ' ' ' o ney ewis, John Fisher, Philip Lala, Donald Collingwood, and Lyle Kaut, John Fisher through four years of competitive track has made many improve- ments not only for himself but for the whole track program. He has shown to the younger people that with a little hard work you can really make something out of yourself. John is a born leader and has proven it out on the track many times. He also has proven it in other student bodied functions. John in all the conference runnings has not finished any lower than a second place. He has worked hard in his events which were the half-mile, mile, mile-relay, and the two-mile relay. We appreciate everything you have done for the program John and wish you the best of luck. u Q ' We1ght-L1fters Q, .W ,eyy on .t ,,,, , , , e y Q 1 'J F 5 t - T - 5 tu H , at New gif? , 3553 ,.,, .,,, .
