This year the Student Council of 1968-69 has accomplished much in social fields. A bonfire, rally, parade and dance were all sponsored for Homecoming, plus the crowning of a queen. They have had student exchanges with local schools and have even sponsored an International Student Exchange in which they plan to send Mary Vopalka to Germany this summer. Other social events sponsored by your Student Council were the Christmas Dance, Computer Dance and shorts day. Over Christmas holidays they made it possible for Ingrid Baldauf to call home to Germany. Because they have accomplished so much this year, we are all looking forward to an even better council next year. I In the fall the '69 Pointer Staff was V 2 ,V , divided into two groups. The girls sold H ,.V, V i r ,V subscriptions and the boys contacted the local businessmen to secure advertise- ments. Two junior boys, Gary Hoefle and Bob Oxley, took over the big task of com- posing the ads. A junior girl, Carolyn Dick, became an expert photographer with the staff's new camera. The camera, a gift from the 1968 senior class, proved to be a valuable asset this year. As usu- al the co-editors Jill Winegardner and Vernon Bryant, worked many hours af- ter school to complete the pages, but 5 without the enormous amount of help from Mrs. Fleckenstein and the other girls pictured on this page it could not have made the deadline. . ,.... fix Q , f .- , .V glitz.,-, i -LM I- :V t Vgrk J 1 1,1 ,, 5 gf , 1, A . ,gl gg li K ,,. , 55 2, A Carolyn zeroes in on some un- suspecting person.
