From short to long skirts, floodpants to dragging jeans, crim ed, feathered, long, and afro hair, saddle shoes to six inch heels, wire framed, tinted, and ini- tialed lasses, stick pins, mood rings, and pierce ears to double pierced. During this decade there has been a grow- ing interest in sports. There was talk about the Sports Complex, hocke came and went, the Chiefs comin' back, being a loyal Royal, racquetball, tennis, skate- boards frisbees, moto-cross, and the fitt- ness of jogging. And you could see all this on the front of a t-shirt! A if., . 4 l inf-gf' ' Xxxf- - if Q .WZQ -. H-'ill' .5 . . 5 , . I ' ,Q ' A- . -r . J., lx if . , ,,, , . -:fp Qc - - 1 , . K . I cg. .tx W 5 . . The year of 1979 has brought an excellent group of bands at Center South. A new member at South is the Band conductor, Mr. Keirsey. He has given us three of the greatest bands that South has seen in the seventies! The first band is the seventh grade band. They are preparing for their years to come at Center. Next, is the Cadet Band which is mostly eighth graders. They are prepar- mg for Concert Band. Freshmen comprise the Concert Band. 'W -5 H151 1:22 nl! AL IQ I W. if . ,fc 7 il, -- V,,,.
